a visual journal of change and connection

‘My Life With Her’ began shortly after I arrived in Australia with my family. In the midst of many changes, I was navigating life in a new country while watching my daughter grow, and I felt a need to hold on to what was unfolding around me. Photography became a way to steady myself, a silent anchor during a time that felt both full and empty, solitary yet shared, everything in motion and nothing quite settled.
With time, I realised I was not only observing her growth, but also moving through my own transformation. The images slowly became a visual diary of the everyday and the emotional, a reflection on what it means, and feels to me, to inhabit, to care and to grow.
As the years passed, I began to see these photographs not only as records of moments, but as spaces where memory, change and presence could coexist. I moved between camera-less processes and digital photography alongside sun-printed cyanotypes, layering collages, textile and reclaimed papers into the work. The images have gradually expanded beyond documentation into something more tactile and embodied, holding traces of time and shared emotion.
