"One day at a time" is part of an exercise in visualisation and experimentation. Over 35 days, the feather represents emotions and experiences, creating a 'visual diary' that explores connections and celebrates impermanence.
One Day at a Time
Finalist for the Northern Beaches Environmental Art & Design Prize 2024, "One day at a time" is a collage of 35 photograms of a feather, mounted on handmade cotton paper, printed with sunlight as cyanotypes, and sewn together. Each unique print reflects not only the natural beauty of the feather but also the climatic variations and the subsequent toning with coffee.
